Why do people laugh when someone fart... Jokes are funny but NOT a fart. They can be stinkey, smelly, wet and extremely discusting for those around one. What cause laughter to come about from a fart, do people out there know what a fart is?
What is a Fart
A fart is a combination of gases that travels from a person's stomach to their anus. Farts consist of; nitrogen; carbon dioxide which you breath out; oxygen what you breath in; methane what is formed through the decaying of organic materials; and hydrogen sulfide in which you consume by the foods you eat. The first three (nitrogen, carbon dioxide and oxygen), has little to do with the characteristics that leaves a fart different from the rest. Methane, which is flammable, maybe dangerous around the fires. But the main ingredient is hydrogen sulfide, this is the smelly order in farts, and fart rich in this are stinkier than those that are deficient in farts. Some foods that cause really smelly farts include: beans, cabbage, cheese, soda, and eggs.

I have yet to figure why it is so funny when a person farts... Maybe cause it is a natural process that we try to hold in that comes out intentionally but slips out at times. And those around laugh because they could't keep theirs hidden. U tell me....

I have formed a habit of farting when I sneeze!which I find most embarrassing when in shops,pubs,and restaurants however I find that a silent one in a smoke filled bar is the most humorous ! when everyone looks at each other accusingly and with utter distain THAT IS L,O,Louder !!!!!!

I'm a 55 year old woman and I have always cracked up after farting. I thinks it's the peoples reaction from my farts that get to me the most. I can remember farts from 30 years ago and it I still laugh just thinking aout them! These days farts are about the only thing that can still make me laugh til I cry. My kids just look at me and shake their heads.

IMO_ fart has two compenents to be laughed at :
1) Exposed peoples virtual displeasency in close quarters. Laugh is rare after a fart when 1on1.
2) Programmed sense of funny act. You are programmed to laugh because everybody around you laughed before :)
